Admitted to practice in all courts in the State of California, the Supreme Court of California, the United States District Court in the Central District of California, and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The Law Offices of Caree Annette Harper has represented hundreds of clients since 2002 with an emphasis on criminal defense, civil rights violations (Section1983) and most recently bankruptcy. The firm prides itself on close, direct interaction between attorney and client in order to mutually develop strategies which lead to the best possible results. Ms. Harper was a police officer but was injured in the line of duty. While on the force, Ms. Harper was one of the most decorated officers in the department, achieving a "Marksman" medal; and a "Lifesaving Medal" for diving into a canal, pulling out a submerged driver and performing CPR until the victim was airlifted to safety where he fully recovered.

On October 27, 2005, Ms. Harper was the recipient of the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the United States House of Representatives (Congressman Adam Schiff). Ms. Harper also received the Shirley Fields Volunteer Award from the County of Los Angeles after dedicating nearly 50% of her work in one year to pro bono cases.
